CARMEL CUTLERY NEWSLETTER

We have received some new knives from BENCHMADE. We are a part of their automatic ship
and receive their new knives as they become available. The 635 MINI-SKIRMISH has a blade length
of 3.43", and an overall length of 7.73". The titanium body has an ergonomic shape for comfortable
handling. The S30V stainless blade is hardened to 58-60HRC, and has a large blade belly which
provides more cutting surface area. This Blackwood design has a modern and distinctive look.....
The 707 SEQUEL is a McHenry & Williams design with a blade length of 2.95", and an overall length
of 6.75". The 154CM stainless blade has a drop point shape, a false edge at the top, and is hardened
to a 58-60HRC. The handle material is 6061-T6 aluminum with black G10 inlays. It has a tip-up clip
carry for easy access, and the popular axis lock.....The 10600 SNIPE is a larger sized folder. It has a
fully ribbed handle spine for improved grip over a variety of handling positions. The placement of the
carry clip high on the handle allows for comfortable pocket carry. The blade length is 3.97", and the
knife is 9.30" overall length. The push button lock release is situated midway on the handle for easy
access. This is a Fecas design, with AUS8 stainless blade hardened to 58-60HRC. This is one of a
new class of knife that is being made to Benchmade's high standards in Taiwan. This in part explains
the extraordinary price point for a Benchmade of $45.00!.....The 420 RESISTOR is a Snody design
and also has the high placement of the carry-clip. The blade is blackened 154CM stainless steel that
is hardened to 58-60HRC. The blade length is 3.75" and overall the knife is 8.0". The blade has a
"Gotham Swedged clip point shape. The handle is anodized aluminum with G10 scales, double 420J
liners which accounts for the .72" handle thickness. The G10 scales are shaped for enhanced grip.
This is a great knife for the person who wants a hefty, substantial feel to their knife.....The 425
GRAVITATOR is also a Snody design with a very distinctive face to the knife. The blade is a modi-
fied Wharncliff shape, blackened, of 154CM stainless steel, hardened to 58-60HRC and is 3.5" in
length. The knife is 8.28" overall. It has silver G10 bolsters, black G10 scales, and double think
titanium liners. The handle has a unique tapered shape that fits well for any hand size....The last new
Benchmade we will mention is the 440 OPPORTUNIST which is a Warren Osborne design. The
blade is a modified Wharncliff design, 2.99" in length, and is S30V stainless steel hardened to a
58-60HRC. The handle is anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with a machined jig pattern, stabilized
wood scales, and 420J liners. The overall 6.83" is a smaller size that offers a comfortable carry.

There are some new WILLIAM HENRYs 'out there' that are so new we do not have them yet!
When we attended the Shot Show, we dropped by to see the new knives! Almost all of their knives
will be new lines. They have discontinued using liner locks, and will use the button lock exclusively.
They have also dropped their carbon fiber body knives, but they are bringing out a new line with
carbon fiber scales. There will be several folder lines, and there will be some very attractive new
kitchen knives. We will let you know when they start to appear!

We have a new knife from KYOCERA. It is a white ceramic, usuba shape vegetable knife
and it should make quick work of your vegetable chopping! We also have a new ceramic MEGA
peeler for use with large fruits and vegetables. This should also be great for shaving chocolate and hard
cheeses.

We keep adding new things to our inventory all in an effort to make your visits just that much
more fun! When you are in Carmel, be sure to drop by and see us! - Scott & Tanya
